Slightly odd squad named for final two games. Morgan out and Walker in. Not sure quite how that works. Do we need Smith, De Lange, TvdG, Walker, Douthwaite and Wagg in the squad when I assume Salter and Sisodiya will continue to play?
Morgan actually top scored on Wednesday with 24 off just 13 balls. Unfortunately that might be his last game for Glamorgan but not his fault everyone fell around him.
I assume Carlson will come in for Cullen and then it is whether Walker replaces De Lange. De Lange can be very good but he can also be very bad. Not sure if he is bowling to instructions but to keep digging the ball in half way down the wicket is brainless. There is however a problem with bowling full at Sophia Gardens because of the short straight boundaries and the favoured option is to try and get batsman hitting square.

Have to agree that the changes are strange. If there is a problem with the batting surely add a batsman or two?

Presumably Walker will play and what do the coaches need to know about Wagg. Play Douthwaite as a batsman and tell him to forget about bowling for these fixtures.

Mustn't forget this squad is for the two victories to come. (No holding breath but fingers can be crossed!!)

Trying to make sense of tonights team. Taylor, Morgan and De Lange out replaced by Carlson, Douthwaite and Wagg. Feels like batting and bowling weakened although might argue that that is difficult to achieve. I am not sure that Wagg and Douthwaite add much with bat or ball. Hope this does not mean Wagg is being resigned.

Batting first - scared to look.

But you never know...
Much better to bat first than chase with our batting line up.

A competitive total for once.

Naturally it was the player who probably won't be here next season who got most of the runs. :) Lloyd and Cooke showing their worth again though.

A complete display against the league leaders who we have now beaten twice. That despite another poor catching display.
A much better wicket for batting tonight and Balbirnie took advantage with support from Lloyd and Cooke with a floursih at the end from Douthwaite.
Another good performance by all the bowlers in trickier conditions for them. Sisodiya excellent again and all would have been helped if some tough catches had been taken. Great opening over from Wagg dismissing Cockbain and although Smith went for a few he bowled an excellent 16th over that sealed things.
Not sure about the consistency of Wagg but certaily adds something to the spirit of the team. Carlson also energises things.
Again just used the 5 bowlers when the general feeling is that you want to mix things up as much as possible. Not sure if Lloyd able to bowl but not seen him at all with the ball in hand.
Hopefully we'll see another performance like this on Sunday.

Brilliant win but funny old game. We’ve all been questioning a new contract for Wagg, yet he bowled so well at a critical time taking 2 key wickets. Also, can never fault his attitude. May have just gained himself another year if only for shorter form. Lloyd makes a significant difference giving some impetus at the beginning and Balbirnie was so unfortunate not to get the well-deserved 100. Interesting to see what the team will be for Sunday and decisions made on contracts.

I couldn’t watch the match tonight unfortunately. Great win against an in form team. Shame Balbirnie didn’t get a ton. Dropped catches again were there? Who was at fault this time?
