Red ball cricket is finally back with the Willis Trophy, and three games out of the five group matches at home. Let's just hope for some decent weather!

August 1st – Warwickshire (A)
August 8th – Somerset (H)
August 15th – Worcestershire (H)

No crowds but matches will be streamed. Though if that's the same as for other years' championship matches, you just see the wicket. Better than nothing.

There are fewer overs per day and more over before a new ball. Also each 1st innings limited to 120 overs and follow-on target increased to 200. So I don't think there'll be many follow-ons and there will be more contrived results like in the seventies, with targets being set.
