While their 3 defeats have been close and have so far avoided the abject defeats of some previous campaigns their only win was against troubled Durham who are in a mess.
The selection seems muddled and confused. The captaincy is naturally naive and inexperienced. But most worrying of all the approach seems to be a couple of years behind current thinking. Our squad is full of steamers who pitch it up and swing it while our batsmen mostly suit the longer game.
While I would prefer we do better in the red ball stuff our 50 over results should be so much better for a club of our resources.
