A couple of one dayers tomorrow and sunday. Heavy downpours due this afternoon & overnight may affect tomorrow but clear blue skies promised for the Glos. match.
Not one of my favourite places to watch cricket although quite handy for me to get to. No cover against either rain or sun, best weather for this ground is warm with light, non threatening cloud. Good view from the top of the seating & plenty of on site parking for those driving and most importantly excellent ice cream available . The wicket is too benign for interesting championship cricket, but good for 20/20 and 50 overs. Hopefully the weather will allow play tomorrow against Surrey and Kent can continue the winning run.

Well all the weather warnings of the second flood due from thursday afternoon & through the night for the south east came to nothing ( sorry for those who had it in our place) and the match proceded with no delays or interuptions. Cloud for much of the day with the sun coming out late afternoon. There was one big panic & cause for consternation with the absence of an ice cream van. But it finally turned up oneish after suffering a puncture on the way to the match.
Not an exciting game but plenty to cheer the home support with a big win. A very good crowd to show that the 50 over game has a good following with matches played at the right time & with the luck of good weather. Lots of people want a bit more than 20/20 & to enjoy a day at the cricket with a result at the end. Plenty of youngsters there with all age ranges covered.
