The concern is that players got themselves out against some pretty mediocre bowling. There seemed to be plenty of easy runs to score.

Sensible that Hogan will be rested for the next friendly, but if we have to do the same thing in the Championship it could be a problem.

An attack with Neser and Smith, both bowling a bit quicker than those available this week, looks better. Have a feeling that if it is a good pitch today the Somerset batsmen may make hay. Could need Taylor to get some control at one end - will be a good test for him. Our red ball spin department seems a bit sparce, although spin has not been a major factor in 4 day cricket over recent years.
