The problem now is that we are going at a run-an-over less than Worcs did without the wickets in hand to press on so are going to be 100 behind even if we bat the full 120 overs.

Hopefully we can bat out 120 overs which takes us close to tea. They would have to bat in the morning which will take out more overs

Easy pitch or no if we can see out the 120 overs that will be a good achievement and mean valuable time in the middle for some.

Problem with limited overs is that bowlers can bowl wide to keep run scoring down.

Good tight start as expected from Hogan and TvdG. Problem is that the batsmen know that the pressure will be off when they are replaced in the attack.

Think it's time for Wagg to bat at 7 and Douthwaite to be replaced by an out and out bowler. If Hogan is rested for the next game then 2 out of Carey, Walker or McIlroy could come in with De Lange coming back. Assume the rest of the batting will stay the same as cannot drop Cullen after one game. Only other possibility is one of the openers being replaced by Brown or Cooke.

The T20 batting looks a real problem. If everyone was fit and assuming Ingram not back the strongest it might look like is:
Selman - did open in T20 last year
Smith - think he could play the Meschede role and has opened as a junior
Lloyd
Cooke
Carlson
Taylor
Wagg - more as a btasman than a bowler but will certainly bowl
Salter
De Lange
TvdG
Hogan

Given Smith and Lloyd unlikely to be fit I assume Douthwaite would replace Smith and Cullen or Root come in for Lloyd. Unfortunate as they are two key members of the T20 team.

Worcs openers being very circumspect. Would expect them to try and push on a bit to set a target but perhaps they don't expect to need much time to bowl Glamorgan out.

The Worcs openers showing their Glamorgan counterparts how to get yourself in and then reap the rewards. 17 off Douthwaite's last over.

Our batsmen ought to be good enough to bat out 2 sessions to save the game.

If they play sensibly that is.

You would hope so.

Strange from Worcs, have they settled for a draw with maximum bonus points ? Do they fear we can make 300 at 5 an over ?

Might be that they don't think it will take long to bowl us out. Wagg has saved us with the bat but his bowling is not up to scratch. Cannot be selected as a front line bowler.

In that case not showing much respect for our batting, perhaps with some justification. After their opening win, another win would put Worcs in a good place, surprised at their lack of ambition unless they think the pitch is going to be the winner.
