Rather than start a new topic it was good to see Glamorgan play Lancs at Colwyn Bay and get good crowds. But since then almost no games for a month in middle of summer. Prior to that a couple of T20 games a week rarely at home on a Saturday and when did Glamorgan last play on a Sunday.

This week 4 T20 quarters on different days and no other games all I assume to meet Sky requirements. No wonder interest in cricket is dying. God the old days with almost each week a four day match and a one dayer.

We could have had more county games during T20 matches but now have three in mid to late September during the week so targeting the unemployed and retired.

Crazy.

Difficult to timetable championship games when you do not know who is involved in the T20s.
Not sure why the T20 group games cannot be played over a shorter period.

I agree difficult to schedule county games when don't know T20 quarter-finalists but my point here was TV controls game and has them over four days. Could have had them over say Tuesday/Wednesday and country games start Thursday or Friday.

Can only agree with caergybi.

The scheduling is awful, driven by Sky (and BBC from 2020) and does nothing for county attendances.

Next year we'll have the Blast in June, The 100 ball and 50 over stuff in July and August, with the Championship mainly in April, May and September, with little effort to play on weekends.

Little wonder so many people of working age have given up on membership which, together with 'the passing of time', means that county membership will become a dying art.

On the positive side, our well paid players will get their golf handicaps down.

Bit harsh turning it back on the players.
