Another interesting squad selected for this game with Owen Morgan called up.

I can't agree with resting de Lange and van der Gugten, but hopefully our good form can continue...in the unlikely event that any play is possible that is.

I agree. Now we have got some momentum and Carey fit why not go for another win and play one of De Lange or TvdG. De Lange bowled on Saturday although I am not sure Timm did. Does Douthwaite get rested?
I assume Morgan replaces Salter. I am still not sure what Morgan’s role is. A batsman who bowls a bit or a bowler who bats a bit. I am not sure his bowling is quite good enough to take wickets on the normal Championship pitch and that is what we are lacking.

The other option is that Morgan is thought of as a batsman and replaces Carlson.

Hope the weather is better in West Wales than it is in London. Swansea fixtures don`t seem to have much luck weather wise.

Lousy day in Swansea, exile, although as I type the light is improving, so perhaps some play possible later.
It's raining again though, so I fear the worst.
The Swansea rain is , however, much sweeter than that falling in London. So every cloud..... :)

Guess not a big surprise Carlson left out. Hope he has been released to the 2s game although I guess play may be limited.

Most players getting to 30 but none going on. Disappointing day.

not A great day from Glammy today as so far no batsmen has been able to stay there and get much after 30
I’m bit surprised in only having 2 Seamers in the team , and again why are we playing both Douthwaite and Wagg in the same team
It should be one or the other and another fast bowler VG or DeLange
Not good weather to be playing in so it will be interesting how Derby manage when batting
Regarding Morgan,I assume he is in mainly for batting but as we already know a spin option especially on the last day when it normally turns at Swansea
Very interesting so far and let’s see what score we can get in our first innings

Would like to see another out and out seamer in the side - are one of Walker, Szymanski or McIlroy worth a try as it seems unnecessary batting Cullen at 9 seeing how he has performed with the bat. Do not see much merit to keep playing Wagg in 4 day cricket.

Top score of the innings for Wagg. That's meritorious enough for me. :)

The way Wagg's batting has come on over the last 4 or 5 years he could almost be a specialist number 7. Or is that too optimistic?!

Sounds like great fun at Swansea. Wishing I was there to see it. Well done Wagg and Carey!

Notgoingoutreprise being proved right about Maynard not getting much wrong and trusting him. Just logged back on after lunch to find that Wagg has been going wild and is heading for 100. He must be one of the most prolific ‘batsman/bowler’ this season. Great performance by him and Carey!

Wagg's 100. Respect!
