Impressed with Douthwaite. Even if he did run out Root.

Well done to the players and the coaching staff.

Last season we would have lost by 200. :lol

Great win and even better to watch on Sky. Seems to be so much more confidence and determination in the side with 3 wins which could have been 4 as nearly defeated Somerset and other good efforts. Like the fact that, apparently, second team are being watched by Wallace and chances given to those who impress. Really pleased for Douthwaite. Well done team!

Fabulous to watch game on TV. Well done on a very fine win. Went to the game at Bristol last Tuesday so have witnessed two good wins in 8 days. That's one more than I saw in the whole of last year!

Congratulations on an excellent win. Lots of positives to take into the next set of Championship games. Will be interesting to see the side that plays next week and who may have pushed their way into contention.

Although its only one game but on the basis of that performance it is no mystery why Glam have chosen to tie down Douthwaite with a contract. Excellent victory with many contributions. Root turning out to be the best acquisition in many years.

Outstanding win, a real thriller! Very pleased for Douthwaite and what nerves of steal from the young man Walker to hit a six for the win.

Excellent win; demonstrates the wisdom of appointing Matthew Maynard. Perhaps we should now consider getting Robert Croft back in order to tidy up the bowling department.

GLAMMAN, try not to be rude, arrogant and ignorant. If there is a danger of fast bowlers suffering crippling injuries from bowling four overs in T 20 games, how the hell did the likes of Michael Holding, Bob Willis and Dennis Lillee survive !! They often bowled 30 overs in a day.
Very confused !!!

Congrats Glammy on an excellent win The batting line up is made up of very positive cricketers who have adopted the "England way" in knock one of us over and there is more to come.
I feel that there were a lot of agricultural shots which may not have the same effect in 4 day cricket. I hope the positivity of the batting performance is bottled but more technique will be required for 4 day success. I feel we will be competitive in T20 cricket. However a step in the right direction.

Not sure if you have been watching but T20 has not started here yet?

Agree about the way we batted but was most impressed with Douthwaite showing good technique when the rate was down to a run a ball. Players need to be able to adapt and hopefully he will score runs against the red ball too. He will probably be more consistent in future white ball cricket if he learns to use the more traditional techniques he seems to have to score boundaries.

Not sure we have solved the top three problem in red ball cricket. Don’t think Cooke is going to bat 3 although you never know.

Douthwaite and fellow student Kiran Carlson are unavailable because of university exams, while Kieran Bull will provide a specialist spin option and veteran paceman Michael Hogan hopes to be fit after a hamstring strain.
