I agree with the others about the lack of second eleven information on the website and we should not be reading our news on other clubs websites.

Also I am not sure if anyone else saw the minicard for the Northants game on the home page on Monday evening, but it looked awful and as if it had been put together by a work expereince employee who knows nothing about cricket.

It listed the 3 team scores (570, 750 and 70) with no number of wickets next to it. Anyone who knows anything about cricket knows that if no number of wickets is put against a total it means the team is all out. This was far from the case as we know.

Also it listed 2 Glamorgan players in our second innings. Hemphrey 17 and Labuschagne 27 were detailed. Again anyone who follows cricket knows that an * indciates that the batsman in not out and if there is no * it means that they were out. Both these batsmen were not out and there was no * next to their names. Totally incorrect and misleading information.

In addition the Northants second innings bowling figures were listed under their innings score of 750.

This is embarrasing and needs to be sorted out.

Just clicked on the "Tables" part of the website and found the 2018 county championship table. Whoever edits the website needs to be marched out the front door never to return.

Website actually starting to give us some information. Unfortunately the most recent update today is a list of injuries affecting Craig Meschede, Ruaidhri Smith, Prem Sisodiya,
Kieran Bull and Jack Murphy.

Just tried to look at the website and find it has all changed. Looks pretty good but not sure whether it provides any more information. Will see how it goes. One thing missing is a list of the key members of staff and the members of the Board.

New website but the same lazy and unprofessional output.

The 13 man squad for tomorrow is listed as follows:-

Glamorgan Squad to face Gloucestershire: Cooke*+ Lloyd, Labuschagne, Carey, Hemphrey, Selman, Hogan, vd Gugten, de Lange, Bull, Lawlor, Root & Wagg.

There are a few ways a team can be listed which are normal and acceptable within the game.

It is fine to put the captain first but after that the names should either be in alphabetical order or in some sort of likely batting order.

Another possibility would be to list the likely 11 first and then the 2 names at the end of the players likely not to play. With Joe Root being the 12th name listed I find this unlikely.

It looks awful in my opinion and it has been done in a totally casual and random way.

It is probably being done by the same person who does the mini cards on the website with no wickets after the team score, the wrong use of the * symbol and the bowling figures in the wrong place.

Nothing new on the website since Friday morning. No comment about Friday's game.
Would be nice to have some updates about the injuries to TvdG and Bull - there has not been any comment about the fact TvdG had an inury at all - just inferred from his absence.
We await any news of a further signing.

Interesting opportunity on the website to select your XI for the first Championship game. Not sure what happens to the submissions? Perhaps they will aggregate all the responses to decide the team? :) :)

Shouldn't there have been an option for, "Please God make at least one more signing!!!".

We have a sizeable squad with a number having to show some form this season if they want to remain. Does not look as though we will see any additions now other than a stand-in for Labuschagne when he is away and another overseas for the T20.

By my calculations the majority of the squad only have contracts until the end of this coming season:
McIlroy - not see anything of
Sisodiya - just played two T20s last season taking 1 wicket for 70. Only 21.
Brown - no 1st team games last season so needs to score a lot of 2nd team runs
Bull - hopefully surgery has sorted out his back but opportunities might be limited to Championship games when Labuschagne not playing and spin needed
Carey - Less effective last year with 19 wickets in 9 CC games at 40. Reasonable economy in one-day cup. Needs to push on but expect him to be retained.
Carlson - Showed such promise and needs a better season. Still at Uni so may be limited early season.
Wagg - Slight surprise he was resigned and cannot go on much longer despite his fitness. Would expect him to play white ball games and not red.
Taylor - Four T20s last season. Can bat and bowl but not sure if either is quite good enough. Needs to score plenty of 2nd team runs.
TvdG - Injury hit season. Hope to see him back and fit. Not sure if Brexit will impact upon him but might be OK on residence. Expect to see him still here in 2021.
Meschede - Just three 50-over games last season in which he scored 10 runs nd took 1 wicket. Season hit by injury but has been overtaken by Smith for all-rounder slot and unless he forces his way in to the 1st team and performs well this could be his last season. Do not see the need for him, Smith and Douthwaite even when Wagg retires.
Hogan - who knows how long Hogan will play for.
Root - was signed on a 2-year contract. Good first season despite fading late on and expect him to carry on and be around for a while.
Cullen - Back up keeper and showed ability with bat so will want to keep him around. Is 28 so not a youngster.
Morgan - I was surprised to see him resigned and am not sure where he fits into the side. Needs a big season to be around next year.

I have not seen anything about Selman renewing his contract, which was due to end last year, but would assume he has been offered one. The rest of the squad all have contracts until the end of 2021.

True, but unless I'm forgetting something we have basically simply lost Patel from the team who finished last season (I know Labuschagne was also not available for every game).

Hopefully Carlson or another batsman can break through or we may be picking an unbalanced team fairly often.

Yes - not a bad balance between youth and experience. Hopefully see a couple of youngsters put in some consistent performances and some competition for places.
