and to think not long ago some people forecast we wouldn't win a game! We have not just beaten but smashed some big money bag teams and the management team should be given credit for that.

"some people".

Such a nebulous term. Another poster on a different thread implied the same.
Why not come out and name names. Just who ARE these people? We need to know. Build the gallows high, I say.

So what if someone, anyone, "forecast we wouldn't win a game".
Has anyone died as a result? Are posters not allowed to air their opinions? Do you just want to read positive comments, with any real, or inferred criticism, being banned?

From what I have read, there is plenty of "credit " being accorded to the team, and it's managers.

This forum, and others like it, requires a broad spectrum of opinions for it to survive.
There is nothing so pointless as a forum where everyone sings off the same hymn sheet.
I for one would soon be gone were that to happen.

"Some people" need to be encouraged to air their opinions/fears/concerns,etc.,without being denigrated with the label "some people".

Just my opinion,of course, and not that of "some people".
God what a load of hyperbole. You sound like an old 'Sun' hack. It's raining 'World will flood'. Glamman, was one who stated that,as he says.
I do not want to 'hang him high' and I am not aware of anyone dying. I cannot be bothered replying to you rant point by point. I am sorry that my term "Some people" provoked such a very extreme reaction, I must use it again some time!!
Calm down dear.  "Some people" may have felt patronised by your "some people" comment.
Perhaps next time you have a grievance, why not air it properly, and stop hiding behind a few empty words like "some people".

I don't read The Sun, so will have to acquiesce to your greater knowledge of said rag.

No need to be so angry, we are ALL on the same side.

;)
Me calm down? I was rather amused in your reaction.
' I don't read The Sun'-  I don't either but I believe your writings style must surely fit the profile?
In order to say who had said 'we wouldn't win a game' I would have had to checked hundreds of posts in order to be accurate, but I knew Glamman had so used the criminal term 'some people'.

All the success in the white ball game is down to our Coach and Skipper, WELL DONE!
Now lets use the remainder of the 4 day games to have a look at the young faces from the 2s, that glamman is always posting about! And put our one day stars in cotton wool! :D

glamman- I would like to verify that I do not want you to be hanged and I do not think anybody has died as a result of your posts!!
I think the recruitment of players has been largely been targeted to strengthen  the one day game as it is there the money lies. There are numerous example of teams that perform well over the longer game and poorly in shorter formats. I also fear about Lloyd as the money and  glamour will soon be after him.
As for Cooke, he should clearly not be risked as a wicket keeper and I would drop a bowler, perhaps 'rest' Wagg?
Having the extra bowler in the T20 format is a huge advantage as has been shown in the last 2 games where Cosker has taken some stick. The advantage we have is that most of the bowlers can also score some runs.
I would prefer to see Rudolph replaced by Cooke despite Rudolph's last innings. However I expect Wallace to miss out if Cooke fit.

Firstly I assume the statement "All the success in the white ball game is down to our Coach and Skipper," is said tongue in cheek.

Secondly, there are not that many "young faces" who are not already known about the exception being the appearance of Morgan. It seems a bit pointless having players on contracts and then never giving them a chance. We have been fortunate over the last couple of seasons with relatively few injuries which is usually the reason for bringing in youngsters. However I felt the short term appointment of Podmore was unnecessary when Perhyn Jones had had a good start to his 1st class career at the end of last season.

Smith and Murphy are both fit now and Bull will soon be bowling again so plenty of opportunity for the rotation that was talked about to prevent burn out at the end of the season. Also Lawlor and Kettleborough are scoring a few runs. Lawlor deserves another chance before the end of the season given the way he was treated at the end of last season.

No wholesale changes but good to have a bit of depth for selection.

One of the problems is that Rudolph is blocking a spot while not performing and I am pretty sure he would not be offered a new contract if he did not already have one until the end of next year.

See on the Glamorgan website Wallace himself says he expects Cooke to come back in when fit. Has he been told this already?

However, I agree with Brandycove that we should not risk Cooke's back when we have another first-class wicket keeper available. Difficult selection decisions to be made but quality and performance in T20 by current squad allows for rotation! To be fair, on overall performance, Rudolph should miss out with Ingram captaining but no one can argue that Rudolph has captained us to this position, so have to give him credit for that. Delighted for Croft.

We are playing with only four specialist batsmen plenty of room for another. and we will still have a load of bowling options Wagg is averaging just 7 and going for 8.33 an over but he can turn a game.

Don't know if anyone interested but, just to put things in perspective re our differing views and comments, I follow Twitter as gives swift access to general news as well as sporting events. NEVER comment because it's absolutely dreadful. Our posts are very 'sedate' in comparison. To give just one example, Simon Jones, ex Glam and England player is friendly with Kevin Pieterson and, through him, Piers Morgan. The foul comments directed at them are disgusting and disgraceful. Thank goodness, there is no one on here like that!

I decided to follow Flashman,Count Arthur Strong and Viz rather than
those three but I know what you mean! It's an odd one but sums up society today. And its not as if people hide behind usernames to rant, like on here. It's one thing to hide behind monikers but some tweets, and ALL Facebook posts show the person's real names mostly!! Sad.

I'm rather mystified by the fact that Tait, Hogan, and Van Gugten all had an over left, but nobody to bowl at. Yet Cosker, bless him, gets a caning.
If we lose this, more stick for the Captain.
Middlesex rallied after a shocking start. 39/5 at one point.
Did Glamorgan let them off the hook?
Hmm, a tricky total  to get, methinks. Not huge, but if Glam lose early wickets, it could get nasty.

Agree - Hogan and TvdG are our two best bowlers and then only bowl 3 each.
Rudolph getting applauded for his captaincy but I do not see any great strategic brilliance. I am confident Ingram could do at least as good a job, as he showed when Rudolph injured in a game. It is not a tough job captaining a side where the players are delivering, as they are in the limited over format. In T20 most of the plans are preformulated as you need to get through the overs so quickly.

'In T20 most of the plans are preformulated as you need to get through the overs so quickly.'

It is also the most changeable form of cricket and tactics have to change rapidly. As you have pointed out the more bowlers you have the more options you have which will need managing according to the match situation.

Rudolph`s decisions on Friday evening seem strange to those of us not there. It is hard to think that there was a pre formulated plan that Hogan Tait and TVDG did not bowl their allocation. Tait only bowled 3 v Sussex I believe but after his terrific first over he must have fancied it. Hogan and TVDG are in form especially the latter. It looked pre planned that Morgan and Higgins went for it at the end of the 14th, JR`s hunches were to go with another over of spin and Wagg and Middx took off in the next 2 overs although Wagg did get Morgan. In retrospect JR messed up, if you sense a batting charge then get your best bowlers to meet it, but for me he is still in credit in 1 day cricket this year so far.
