Obviously Smith looks doubtful for the next game and I would not play Wagg and Douthwaite together. Good to have Carey in the bank and would be nice to see what McIlroy can do. Joe Cooke is another option for the all rounder slot as a like for like replacement for Smith.
I was a bit disappointed by Bull - looked very rusty. The good thing was that he was happy to give the ball plenty of air but lacked the consistency which more games will hopefully create.
Time for the batsmen to show what they can do today. As demonstrated by the Somerset lower order, the pitch was getting better to bat on especially as the ball got softer. Just need to get through the morning session and then hopefully build a lead. I think we wil have the best of the batting conditions.

That's the best that I have seen de Lange bowl for a long time and he could have had more wickets.De Lange looked good yesterday. Not sure about Douthwaite as a bowler - a lot of floaty half volleys. Hogan was tight as always.
I still expect it to be a very tough game for us due to Somerset's quality, but hopefully we can continue to compete.
