Sad news indeed. I remember him walking down the steps at St. Helens. The bat looked like a toothpick in his hands.
He was a proper allrounder, and the way the game is now structured, we won't see his like ever again.
He'll be remembered most for his phenomenal fielding/catching.
Apparentky, 17% of all the wickets ever taken by Glamorgan read " c Walker b Shepherd ". That's some stat, and some legacy.
